MediaConnect Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of experienced, technology reporter Jennifer O'Brien, as editor of its technology content.

O'Brien joins MediaConnect from leading Australian channel magazine ARN, where she was Features Editor. O'Brien has nearly a decade of experience in technology media, having also worked as News Editor for Computer Dealer News in her homeland, Canada.

MediaConnect CEO Phil Sim said the appointment of a new editor was part of a significant investment in resources as the company pushes into new services and markets over the course of 2007.

"Off the back of our profitable and growing core business, we're looking to take what has proven to be a very successful business model into new markets as well as extending our footprint in our current niche within the tech media," Sim said.

"Following on from the expansion of our events business via the MediaSmart seminars, the first of which will be held next week, we're now preparing to launch what we believe will be a market-changin media monitoring offering.

"This will enable to offer our clients in the technology space, a complete suite of services all of which is pulled together via our industry-leading PR and corporate communications portal.

O'Brien will start with MediaConnect Australia on June 3rd.
