MIS cleans up at The Lizzies
It was a golden year for MIS, as both the Fairfax title and journalist, Julian Bajkowski, won the coveted Gold Lizzies at last night's 5th Annual Sun Microsystems IT Journalism Awards.
The Fairfax publication enjoyed a stellar 2006, winning the McNair readership survey, and last night it had the Lizzies to back it up, picking up the award for Best Business Technology Title and tying with Atomic MPC for Best Production Team, before taking out the Gold Lizzie as Technology Title of the Year.
Bajkowski won the award for Best Business Technology Journalist as well as being a finalist for Best Technology Article, before receiving the night's highest honour for a journalist: Technology Journalist of the Year.
The Australian also managed a double of sorts, with both the publication itself and staff writer Michael Sainsbury picking up the News Title of the Year and News Journalist of the Year awards respectively. Sainsbury also managed to win the award for Best Communications Journalist.
Atomic MPC was another multiple winner, winning Best Gaming Title as well as sharing Best Production Team. PC Authority won the Best Personal Technology Title and ZDNet Australian was judged to be Best Technology Media Website.
