Today we announced an appointment that gives me a huge amount of joy - the appoint of ARN Features Editor Jennifer O'Brien to the role of Editor of our technology content. Jennifer has nearly ten years experience in tech media working in both features and news roles and the fact that she comes directly from the tech media coalface means she'll bring with her a lot of insight into how the tech media operates today. She's incredibly talented and professional and everyone I've spoken to has loved working with her, so we can't wait to have her join us at the start of next month. For me, it means I'm finally letting go of the editorial reins - something that's been long overdue. We're different to most every company in the world who provides a similiar kind of service to ours - because we're so very editorial focused and our editorial is very much a part of who we are and our value-add. So to let go of that area of the business, I've needed to have absolute faith that I'm handing it across to the right person and Jen is absolutely that person. Going forward, I'm going to be wholly focused on the operation of the business and our growth initiatives. We've about to debut our new MediaSmart seminars next week and then it's onward to the launch of our media monitoring service which will get off the ground next month. We had planned a May/June debut but we wanted to make sure we had the right people in place first. As well as Jennifer, we also hired former ACP journalist Jo-Anne Hui, and we'll make a couple of more editorial appointments over the next fortnight. These really are very exciting times for the company and it's fabulous that we'll have Jennifer and Jo-Anne on board as we enter this stage of the company's growth.
